Robert Paul Reyes was born and raised in the liberal San Francisco Bay Area, attending Alameda Community College. David Pambianchi is a one-time NYC marathoner, former cross US and Europe motorcycle traveler, writer for local Queens and Brooklyn papers from chess to archery, and general adventurer from skydiving, rock climbing and a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do to tagging monarch butterflies, acting, and pruning city trees. Stephan Kaliss is a freelance writer with a degree in Business Administration. Rama Rao Malladi, a distinguished commentator and columnist on South Asian affairs, based in Delhi, began his carer with All India Radio (AIR) in 1976 and worked for several Indian and foreign publications. Jessica Gaudette has been writing for many years and through it has learned much about herself and the world around her. Jennifer Zajac graduated from Portland State University, studying art history, film and writing. She lives in the North Bay Area and slings upscale seafood in Fisherman's Wharf as she forges her way into the world of writing. Alas, all these years in the service industry left Jennifer with a good appreciation for good food and strong drink, and you would understand the latter if you've worked in fine dining! She was spoiled by the fresh local ingredients in Pacific Northwest cuisine and now feels equally spoiled by living in the heart of wine country.

Christopher Leonard is a recent graduate of St. Bonaventure University, where he majored in journalism and mass communication. Following graduation, he was awarded the Buffalo News Award for Investigative Reporting for his efforts in his four years as a student-journalist. He currently is a reporter for a newspaper in Wooster, Ohio. In his free time he enjoys finding stories in bars. He enjoys anything and everything about politics and the stories of strangers.

Nava Thakuria is an independent journalist based in Guwahati, Northeast India, whose main interest is in socio-political developments of Northeast India and neighbouring Bhutan, Burma and Bangladesh. Nava was awarded the first media fellowship on refugee issues sponsored by the UN High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) and Centre for North East Studies and Policy Research.
